Chagee Philippines fortifies leadership team amidst 8th global anniversary celebration

CHAGEE Philippines has announced the appointment of two seasoned industry veterans to its top leadership, coinciding with the brand’s celebration of its 8th global anniversary this November.

The company has named Christopher Tiong (left) as its new Country General Manager and Oliver Rabatan (right) as Deputy General Manager, signaling a strategic move to accelerate its nationwide expansion and solidify its presence in the premium milk tea category.

Tiong previously served as Chief Operating Officer for major international and local food and beverage brands including Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice, and Pancake House. He brings extensive experience in operations, sales, and brand management. His leadership will focus on steering CHAGEE’s nationwide expansion, strengthening store performance, and upholding the brand’s premium quality standards through disciplined operations and exceptional customer service. Tiong’s background is noted for driving business growth and building high-performing teams.

Oliver Rabatan joins CHAGEE following a nearly two-decade career at McDonald’s, where he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer. Rabatan is credited with developing high-impact campaigns such as the “McSavers Mix & Match” and leading the rapid adoption of the McDonald’s App. In his new role, he will lead CHAGEE’s expansion and innovation efforts, aiming to build deeper connections with local consumers through strategic brand management and elevated consumer experiences that align with modern lifestyles.

The appointments come as CHAGEE enters its eighth year globally, poised for sustained growth in the Philippine market.

Tiong commented on the milestone, stating, “CHAGEE’s story has always been about blending tradition and innovation. As we celebrate our 8th global anniversary, our team is taking that story even further, reaching more Filipinos, expanding our presence, and strengthening our community built on quality, culture, and connection.” He added, “We look forward to continued growth in the next year as we bring more people together one CHAGEE cup at a time.”

Rabatan emphasized the consumer-focused approach, noting, “As CHAGEE continues to grow in the Philippines, our focus will be on building deeper connections with consumers through creativity, insight, and authenticity. We see great potential to strengthen how CHAGEE engages Filipinos through storytelling, design, and experiences that reflect modern lifestyles while celebrating our craft, culture, and community.”

With the new leadership team in place, CHAGEE Philippines aims to further redefine the high-quality milk tea culture and solidify its strategic footing in the competitive local beverage landscape.
