Max’s Corner Bakery (MCB) is putting out a Mother’s Day cake built to catch attention the moment it hits the table.
Called the Spring Bouquet Vanilla Cream Cake, it’s topped with buttercream tulips in yellow, white, and pink, arranged to resemble an actual bouquet. It holds its own as a centerpiece, the kind people pause to photograph before cutting into it.
It cuts out the usual pairing of cake and a separate bouquet. One box, and you’re done. The cake leans on artisanal detail and a lighter sweetness. It features moist vanilla chiffon, strawberry cream, and a smooth cream cheese finish, with tulip details meticulously done by hand.
The brand has done this bouquet format before for Valentine’s Day, but this one works better. The strawberry layer gives it lift, rather than relying on the design alone.
During the official launch in Quezon City with media and content creators, the MCB team kept circling back to one idea: family. If Max’s Restaurant has long been tied to “the house that fried chicken built,” Max’s Corner Bakery is starting to read as the house that family built, a kind of Kapamilya gesture you bring to the table when the occasion calls for something a little more than usual.
The Spring Bouquet Vanilla Cream Cake will be available starting May 1 at Max’s Restaurant locations across Luzon, with the limited run lasting through May 10.
