Kris Aquino says ex left her because she was ‘too difficult to love’

“He did not love me.

Kris Aquino has once again bared her soul on social media, sharing an emotional update about her personal and health struggles.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the “Queen of All Media” revealed painful details about her past relationship with a doctor, her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune diseases, and the unwavering love she receives from her son, James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr, also known as Bimby.

Aquino, who has been battling lupus, polymyositis, and acute fibromyalgia, disclosed that the doctor she once loved left her because of the challenges that came with her illnesses. “Enough time has passed: he did not love me,” she wrote. “In my defense, he did receive the correct professional fees — even when we were a couple. End of that chapter.”

She went on to quote his harsh words: “Iniwan kita dahil mahirap kang mahalin, sobrang sikip ng paligid” (“I left you because you were too difficult to love, it felt suffocating”). Aquino expressed her hope that he would finally stop speaking ill of her friends and medical team, who remain by her side despite her deteriorating health.

The TV host and actress also gave a glimpse into her current condition, revealing that she weighs only 36 kg and that each step she takes is agonizing. She recently underwent ultrasound-assisted targeted steroid shots on her knees but experienced severe reactions. “My body reacted the same way I did when we tried 34 months ago the steroid challenge,” Aquino said.

Aquino explained her reason for sharing her status: I decided to post my current reality because I want to give hope. When you are unconditionally loved, when, like me, you are blessed with a son who will do all to lessen his Mama’s physical and emotional suffering, hindi ka susuko. Tinitiis ko ‘yung matinding sakit na parte na ng bawat araw ko dahil ang pagmamahal ng anak ay walang katumbas. (You do not give up. I endure the intense pain that is now a part of my daily life because a mother’s love for her child is incomparable.)  Aquino emphasized the unconditional love and support she receives from Bimby, who is taking up MMA training while standing as her pillar of strength.

Aquino concluded her post with gratitude and faith, thanking those who continue to pray for her. “Life is difficult for all of us, but faith in God and real love proven by action gives all the needed willpower to persevere. Thank you, God, thank you to all for your continued prayers for my healing, and to my ‘northern star’ — Bimb — for being much more than your Mama deserves.” — WALPHS.com
