Max’s Restaurant is trading its usual understated wood tones for the bold palette of Sesame Street. The vivid yellow of Big Bird, the deep red of Elmo, and the signature green of the “123” sign set the scene for a new party package that leans on characters largely unchanged since the parents in the room first encountered them.

The setup is built around recreations of the show’s most recognizable landmarks. A set of iconic brownstone steps serves as the focal point of the room, designed as a space where parents can sit and talk with their children. Large-scale figures of Big Bird, Elmo, and Cookie Monster are positioned at eye level for the guests of honor, while the green street markers define the corners of the space.

The meal stays within the brand's established territory. The signature fried chicken is served alongside Filipino-style spaghetti, lumpiang shanghai, and leche flan. There is a deliberate lack of themed gimmicks on the plate. The food is exactly what the parents ate at their own birthday parties 30 years ago.

During the launch, ‘90s icon Camille Prats-Yambao noted the full-circle nature of the event while attending with her son, Nolan. Isabel Oli-Prats focused on the “turnkey” logistics of the setup, which eliminates the need for external party coordinators. Digital creator Michaella Jessa Oranga witnessed the immediate curiosity of her son, Tyler, as he engaged with the physical versions of characters he previously knew only through a screen.

The celebration concludes with the “pabaon,” Sesame Street loot bags filled with treats for the guests to take home. The Sesame Street Party Package is currently available at select Max’s Restaurant branches, providing a ready-made celebration for parents who grew up on the same street.
