We’re fucked.
Republican Donald Trump, the first US president to be tried and convicted of criminal offenses, has made history by reclaiming the presidency in the 2024 election, defeating his main opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.
Multiple news agencies project Trump as the winner, with his electoral votes solidly clearing the crucial 270 threshold needed to secure the presidency.
Trump's victory makes him only the second president in US history to serve non-consecutive terms, a feat last achieved by Grover Cleveland, who held office from 1885 to 1889 and again from 1893 to 1897.
